TECHEAD’s Phil Conein wins RichTech Community Catalyst Award!

Phil Conein

TECHEAD co-founder Phil Conein won the Community Catalyst Award at the RichTech Technology Stars Gala last night in Richmond! The award is given annually to an individual or organization that has made significant impact on the growth of technology in the Richmond Region, and the advancement of Greater Richmond as a center for technology innovation.

“I couldn’t believe it!” said Phil. “It’s so terrific to be recognized by a community I’m so proud to be a part of. I have to say this, though – awards are great to have, but unless you have a wall to hang them on they’re meaningless. What keeps our award-walls standing is our great employees. They are the sole purpose of TECHEAD. Without our staff, we’re nothing.”

Phil has been a cheerleader for the tech and creative communities in Richmond for many years.

“I’m just a businessman who is passionate about driving business growth in the Richmond Region. My dedication to creative/tech workforce education, my commitment to helping keep a top creative and technology workforce in place here, and my mission to help build a silo-breaking, cross-industry collaborative mindset in the business community in our region is what gets me out of bed every morning.” That’s certainly an award-winning philosophy.

The entire TECHEAD team congratulates Phil on this well-earned recognition. And we can’t wait to see what his next new idea is!
