Employee Guidelines
While on assignment...arrive on time
Always allow yourself extra time the first day of an assignment to
make sure that you are on time and to find a parking space.
...dress appropriately
A recruiter will let you know
what type of clothing is appropriate for your assignment.
Clothing should be neat, clean and season appropriate for
your assignment. Employees who do not adhere to certain
dress and hygiene codes for an assignment may be sent home.
...abide by these rules
Please treat the client's property with care. Refrain from making personal phone
calls, and "surfing" the Internet or working on personal or
freelance projects while on assignment. Take your time log
with you every work day. Use a NEW time log for each client
and for each week's work. Get your completed time log signed
BEFORE you send it back to us. We cannot pay you without
an authorized signature. As you finish your assigned tasks, be
sure to ask if there is anything else that needs to be done.
Job performance
As an employee of TECHEAD, you are expected to perform your job duties in a satisfactory
manner for our clients. You may be notified by the client, by
a TECHEAD representative, or by both, at any time if there
is a problem in your performance that needs improvement. If
there is a problem, you may be terminated from the position
and replaced by another candidate. If you are in a long-term
assignment with a client (two or more months) and you decide
that you are going to leave the position, we would like to
request that you give the client and TECHEAD two weeks
notice in order for us to have time to find another candidate
for your position.
After an assignment
E-mail us every week at jobs@techead.com and let us know your availability for
assignments. We will keep your name on a list of available
employees. If your status changes, please inform us immediately.
Please let us know if you have a new address or phone number.
Update us on any new skills you may have acquired.
"How do I get paid?"
Friday is payday. Your FIRST
paycheck will be issued on the THIRD Friday after your
assignment begins, and will continue on a bi-weekly basis
unless there is more than a week's lapse in employment.
To be paid on time, you must get your time log in each week by close
of business on Friday. If you will be working over the weekend,
please contact your TECHEAD representative so that payroll
can be notified. You will then be in the system to
receive a check every other Friday until the completion of your
assignment. If there is a break in your employment with us, the
cycle will restart. Overtime is paid for hours worked in excess
of 40 per work week (Monday - Sunday) per client. DO NOT
ask for an "advance" on your paycheck.
A Direct Deposit form was enclosed with your interview
info package. Please follow the instructions on the form
to participate. You may also pick up your check or have it
mailed. While our Postal System is one of the best in the
world, sometimes there is a delay in delivery. Please do not
call the office in a panic, if you do not receive your check
exactly on the same day at the same time every week. If you
have not received your check by the following Friday after
your check was mailed, we will need to put a stop payment
on the "lost" check and will reissue another check for you
to pick up. If we have to put a stop payment on a check
a second time and reissue a new one to you, we will need
to charge you for the stop payment fee, which is currently
$25.00.
If you are concerned about mail delays, please make
arrangements to pick up your check. Please let us know at
the start of your assignment if you would like to stop by each
week to pick up your check.
If you normally pick up your check, and a national holiday
falls on a Friday, please call our office to find out what
arrangements are being made for check pickup.
