General questions:
What kind of training does Techead offer?
Techead teaches leading graphic and web design software applications,
such as Photoshop, Quark, Flash and Dreamweaver. TECHEAD is proud to be
an Adobe Authorized Training Partner and a Macromedia Authorized Training Provider.
TECHEAD's classes are designed to give our students a
good overview of an application and it's tools. Taking one class
in anything WILL NOT make you an expert. As with any learning situation,
we recommend that you start to practice and apply what you learn
immediately to ensure internalization of the concepts and procedures. What is included with the cost of the class?
All classes include class materials for the students to take home.
Usually this is a book and a cd with all of the class files on it.
Instructors can also answer questions for students by email after
class.
What kinds of computers do you use?
TECHEAD trains on Windows or Apple Macintosh platforms. Do not worry if you
use a PC at home or at work; the software applications run the same
way on both platforms.
How large are the classes?
TECHEAD's largest class size is 8 students, and most are smaller.
Sometimes a class may have only one student! This individualized
approach means you are more than just another face in the crowd.

Registration Questions:
How do I register for a class?
Class registration can be done over the phone or by filling out
our Registration Form and faxing or mailing it back. We accept VISA, MasterCard,
American Express and Discover. Failure
to cancel or reschedule without 5 business days notice before the scheduled
class date will result in the loss of the deposit. Existing clients that have
an established payment history with TECHEAD must also provide us with a VALID
credit card number to keep in our database in case of Cancellations / No Shows.
We have unfortunately had to implement this policy due to abuse of our Cancellation
/ Reschedule procedure. If you have questions about this policy, please call

How do I pay for class?
Final class payment can be made by check, credit card (listed above),
or via a valid Corporate or Government Purchase Order. Once we receive
your purchase order, we will send you an invoice. Payment IN FULL
is expected BEFORE THE CLASS STARTS. Please notify the Training
Coordinator - Tel. (804) 782-6971 or
email training@techead.com if your purchase order or payment will not
be on time. We are familiar with the policy that Government invoices
are not paid until the date the class has been completed.
How do
I find out is space left in a class? The Training Coordinator can tell you
if there is space available in the class you are interested in. If
there is only one space (or none!) there will often be a warning
posted on the website to hurry and book your class. Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?
You should receive a confirmation of your class registration by
fax or email within 48 hours of booking your class. If you do not
receive it, please contact the Training Coordinator.
How do I find out more about my class?
The schedule and course descriptions for all of our classes are
listed on the website (www.techead.com/training). To see the
course descriptions just click on the classes name on the schedule
list. A separate window will pop up with the course description
in it. Or you can contact the Training Coordinator. Course descriptions can be
emailed, faxed, or snail-mailed to you.
What happens if I need to reschedule or cancel?
ALL cancellations or reschedules must be received in writing,
either by fax (804-782-2033) or by email (training@techead.com). You may
reschedule or cancel without penalty if you give us more than 5 business days notice.
If you cancel within 5 business days of your class, or fail to show up on the day of
class, you will not receive a refund and will be responsible for the full class fee.
You may reschedule within 5 business days of class for a $50 fee. Confirmations of
cancellations and reschedules will be emailed to the student.
Can I substitute a co-worker in my place if I cannot attend?
You can substitute a coworker if you cannot attend class. Please
give us 24 hours notice so we can prepare for them. This is one
way to avoid the $50 penalty if you cannot attend at the last minute.
What about custom or onsite training?
Custom and onsite training
can be set up with the Training Coordinator. Classes not scheduled
may be set up on an as-needed basis, according to availability of
trainers and programs. Please call for more details.

Day of Class:
What are the class hours?
Graphics classes are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. There are two ten-minute
breaks and an hour for lunch.
Ask the Training Coordinator
for lunchtime restaurant recommendations in the area. We also have
free coffee available for all students and teachers. Students are
also welcome to bring lunch and use our microwave and refrigerator. Where should park my car?
Directly across from the Techead office there is a $3 all day parking lot.
This is a great bargain for this part of downtown! Please remember
to bring $3 in cash to put into the honor box. Do not park in the
lot next to the Techead building! It is a private lot that is monitored
during the day. Unauthorized vehicles in that lot may be towed.
What if my company needs to reach me during the day?
If a student needs to be contacted during class hours, a call
can be placed to the
training center: 804-782-6971.
What if I cancel the day of class?
Canceling or rescheduling on the day of class means the loss of
the $50 deposit. Please give the training coordinator more than
five (5) business days notice if you must cancel or reschedule.
