Job Description:

As a Tier III O&M Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our client’s network infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

• Network Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in WAN and LAN technologies.
• Network Support: Provide network upgrades, configuration support, and troubleshooting.
• NOC Support: Offer tiered support to network operations centers.
• Leadership: Supervise network support specialists and implement security measures.
• Technology Evaluation: Evaluate new network technologies and recommend their integration.
• Network Optimization: Diagnose and resolve network issues, monitor performance, and optimize topologies.
• Upgrade Implementation: Review and implement network upgrades and additions.
• Troubleshooting: Utilize advanced tools to identify and resolve network problems.
• Fault Management: Respond to network troubles, monitor alarms, and execute reporting functions.
• Security: Monitor network security posture and report violations.
• Coordination: Coordinate with configuration management and implementation teams.
• Network Planning: Analyze network characteristics, recommend modifications, and optimize configurations.
• Site Installations: Coordinate and direct network installations.
• System Maintenance: Maintain operating systems, software, and databases.
• Open Systems Expertise: Apply IT skills to analyze, specify, and implement open systems for IM applications.
• COTS Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend COTS applications for interoperable IT solutions.

Qualifications

• Required Clearance: TS/SCI with CI Poly
• Experience: 16 years of relevant experience (combination of work history and education)
• Certification: DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification
