Job Description:

Join our team and lead the certification of Navy navigation systems.

As a Navigation Test Director you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of Navy navigation equipment. You’ll conduct tests, analyze data, and provide expert guidance to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with standards.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct dockside and at-sea tests on Navy ships.
• Analyze data and identify/resolve technical problems.
• Provide expertise on navigation system interfaces and documentation.
• Travel to sponsor sites to conduct field tests and liaise with stakeholders.
• Prepare status, progress, and final reports.
• Operate and troubleshoot navigation systems and equipment.
• Verify functionality of newly installed equipment.
• Stay updated on new technologies and systems.
• Improve test procedures for efficiency, safety, and quality.
• Provide oversight and training to junior technicians.
• Contribute to project proposals and Statements of Work.

Qualifications:

• Technical training in US Navy navigation equipment and systems.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with US Navy navigation equipment and systems, including 3+ years in at least 3 of the following areas: Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Test & Evaluation, or Training.
• Recognized expert in US Navy navigation equipment and systems.

Travel: 60% Location: Norfolk, VA Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required
