Job Description:

The IT Asset Manager will be responsible for tracking, managing, and optimizing the lifecycle of IT equipment within the organization. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of supply chain management principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track the removal and addition of equipment to the customer network and report updates to the procurement team
  • Develop and maintain the logistics team’s processes and procedures
  • Assist in the development, monitoring, and tracking of the logistics team’s training plans
  • Monitor and report on fulfillment of requirements for various customer reporting systems
  • Assist logistics leads in managing worldwide logistics operations
  • Provide support for all customer supply chain management review (SCMR) audits
  • Assist and provide inputs into process improvement initiatives
  • As a custodial property officer (CPO), approve equipment transfers for hub and tail sites
  • Assist the contract configuration management team and Tier II technicians with configuration management requirements  
  • Assist in the development of site inventory plans and monitor the status of the inventory
  • Track and monitor the disposal of equipment across the program, ensuring all documentation is signed within established requirements
  • Track and report on all return material authorization (RMA) deliveries and turn-ins at the sites  
  • Collaborate with site personnel to ensure all consumable property stock levels are properly maintained
  • Track, trace, and update the status of shipments as needed
  • Successfully conduct and complete all assigned training
  • Travel up to 30% of the year to inventory and manage the lifecycle of equipment at remote locations
  • Establish and maintain hardware and software maintenance databases and historical document records

Required Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance
  • High school diploma and minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of automated inventory control systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with data entry into SAP/AM
  • Experience applying a continuous improvement approach to technology spending and asset tracking
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with ordering, processing, shipping, receiving, packaging, material handling, and property accountability
  • Experience with physical inventorying equipment, labeling, tracking, and documenting IT equipment
  • Experience collaborating with logistics personnel, program teams, and government personnel
  • Ability to work independently and oversee program IT software from inception to phase-out
  • Knowledge of creating and distributing reports, including compliance reports and trend analysis
  • Strong knowledge of IT software and hardware, with at least 3 years of experience in IT logistics
  • 3+ years of ITSM tool experience, SAP asset management, and ServiceNow
