Job Description:

As a Weld Examiner you’ll oversee all aspects of the welding program, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Administer welder, brazer, and NDT training and qualification programs.
• Manage welding/brazing/NDT programs through subordinate supervisors.
• Monitor compliance with company QMS, workmanship standards, and customer requirements.
• Review TIPs for structural/piping test and inspection requirements.
• Review OQE for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide production technical guidance.
• Conduct QA inspections, audits, and surveillances.
• Coordinate with customer QA representatives.
• Review QA control requirements with customer representatives.
• Review contractually required documentation.

Qualifications:

• Weld/Structural Engineer Degree or equivalent (preferred).
• High school diploma or GED.
• 10+ years of managing weld, brazing, and NDT programs.
• 5+ years of waterfront weld/braze/NDT program management for NAVSEA contracts.
• 5+ years of waterfront weld/braze/NDT program management for commercial contracts.
• 5+ years of SUBSAFE/DSS-SOC experience (preferred).
