Location: Trenton, NJ – Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Techead is supporting our client in its search for an experienced Software Engineer.

Position Summary
The Software Engineer will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining software for advanced monitoring systems. Projects will range from system architecture and coding to debugging and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain software solutions for specialized monitoring systems.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in C++ (with an emphasis on modern C++).
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and consistency.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems and applications.
- Contribute to the development of new features and functionalities to improve overall platform performance and user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet industry compliance standards and deliver scalable, reliable software.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies and best practices to drive ongoing innovation within the team.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong background in C++.
- Proficiency in modern C++ (C++11 or later).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.
- Solid understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
- Experience with additional programming languages (e.g., Python, C#, or JavaScript) is preferred.
- Exposure to IoT solutions and cloud migration is a plus.
- Experience with graphical user interface frameworks (e.g., React) is beneficial.
- Prior work with monitoring systems or in regulated sectors (e.g., pharmaceutical, healthcare, industrial) is highly valued.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams.
