Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst
Contract Duration: 16 Months
Work Schedule: Hybrid (Monday/Tuesday/Thursday in-office)

Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide in-depth financial analysis and modeling to support key business decisions. The role will involve developing and reviewing monthly operating statements, comparing actual results against budget and forecast. You will analyze operating and maintenance reports and collaborate with management to discuss findings. Timely reporting and analysis will be crucial in supporting departmental requests for expense reviews or process evaluations. You will also attend meetings with contractors and company personnel to discuss cost control matters and will work closely with various corporate and operations teams. The role requires adherence to cost planning and control policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consolidate monthly, quarterly, and yearly O&M (Operating and Maintenance) spend forecasting and budgeting reports.
- Compile, review, and present monthly forecasting schedules to management.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and SOX compliance.
- Analyze economic models to assist in data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate with business partners to review actuals, variance comments, and forecast updates.
- Proactively update month-to-date spend with business units.
- Lead recurring reporting processes, ensuring timely updates and accurate data.
- Lead monthly budget review calls, ensuring thorough review and resolution of discrepancies.
- Manage ad-hoc financial activities as required.
Top Required Skill Sets:
- SAP & Excel Expertise: Hands-on experience using SAP and Excel to create, compile, and review monthly forecasting schedules.
- Operations & Maintenance Budgeting: Strong background in managing O&M budgets and forecasting across multiple cost centers and/or business units.
- Monthly Budget Reviews: Direct experience leading monthly budget review calls, with an emphasis on SOX compliance.
Nice-to-Have Skill Sets:
- Finance/Accounting Background: A background in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of directly related experience in financial analysis or budgeting.
- Power/Utilities Industry Experience: Previous experience in the power or utilities industry is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills with a focus on transparency and open dialogue.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead and manage meetings.
