Job Description:

Tier II Network Technician (TS/SCI w/ CI Poly)

Support customer computer data communication systems, including design specifications, testing, inspections, upgrades, and network modeling. Responsibilities include LAN/WAN device installation and maintenance, incident ticket resolution, change request implementation, support for Tier III engineers, configuration management, and coordination of network operations.

Requirements:

• 10 years of combined experience/education (HS Diploma + 10 yrs, Associates + 8 yrs, Bachelors + 6 yrs, Masters + 4 yrs, Doctorate + 3 yrs).
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and OSI model.
• Basic routing fundamentals.
• Layer 1 & 2 network experience (CAT5, Fiber, Serial, SFP).
• Experience configuring/troubleshooting Layer 2 switching (VLANs, Port Security).
• Knowledge of Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, Brocade/Foundry OS.
• Familiarity with Layer 3 protocols (OSPF, BGP, VRRP, HSRP, MPLS, GRE), Visio, ServiceNow, and Confluence.
• Ability to travel 25%.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to work on-site 5 days a week (no relocation offered).
• May have up to 10% COMSEC responsibilities.
