Job Description:

Secure Telecom Systems Engineer

Location: Dahlgren NSF, VA Clearance: TS/SCI (or eligible) Certification: CompTIA Security+ (IAT Level II) Shifts: 24/7/365 (Rotating)

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and troubleshoot secure voice, video, and data communication systems, including cryptographic equipment (KG-84A, KIV-7, KIV-19M, KG-175).
• Perform technical control functions on government-owned and leased circuits.
• Configure, install, test, and monitor telecom circuits and equipment (Juniper, Cisco).
• Provide on-call support with 1-hour on-site response.
• Manage circuit actions (adds, changes, deletions) using TCOSS and DISA Storefront.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, incident response, and root cause analysis.
• Maintain documentation (circuit records, logs, manuals).
• Manage COMSEC material.
• Ensure TEMPEST compliance and support SCIF reaccreditation.
• Perform cable maintenance and installations.

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship.
• TS/SCI clearance (or eligibility).
• CompTIA Security+ (IAT Level II).
• High school diploma with 3-5 years of telecom engineering experience.
• Experience with secure communication systems and classified information handling.
• Knowledge of space surveillance network and satellite catalog (desirable).
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
• Ability to travel to Andrews AFB.
