Job Description:
IT Infrastructure Project Manager | 21617
Contract: 1 Year
Onsite 100%
Local Candidates Only
Richmond, VA
Certification Required:
• PMP certification – required
• Six-sigma blue or black belts – preferred
Top 3 Required Skills:
1) MuST have prior IT Infrastructure Project Management experience handling large capital projects
2) Must have experience with waterfall / predictive methodologies
3) Experience establishing and maintaining project governance plan including working with project sponsor, steering committee and stakeholders.
4) Experience with process for selecting vendor through RFP, negotiating SOW and managing vendor performance.
5) Must be proficient with Microsoft Project.
6) Must have previous experience in regulated industry
Nice to Have Skills:
• Agile is nice-to-have but not required.
Requirements:
• Experienced managing major projects in large corporate or enterprise environments. Responsible for budgets of at least $3M and teams of at least 15 people.
• Demonstrated owner with accountability for project success. Not a facilitator, coordinator, or project historian a Driver/ Leader
• Must have experience with waterfall / predictive methodologies
• Accountable for managing budgets and resource plans.
• Skilled at developing project schedule and budget estimates, tracking against them and reporting progress.
• Demonstrated understanding of project risk management.
• Experienced with process for selecting vendor through RFP, negotiating SOW and managing vendor performance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills at all organization levels, including senior leadership.
• Experienced establishing and maintaining project governance plan including working with project sponsor, steering committee and stakeholders.
• MS Project Online and SAP user experience are beneficial.
Required Years of Experience:
• Minimum of 6+ years of experience
Education:
• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalency
