Job Description:
Associate Materials Specialist

Hybrid – 3 days onsite (T-Thur) 


Contract: 1 Year

Local Candidates Preferred

Permanent residents only; no c/c

Job Summary:

This will be a support role working alongside the material coordinators, who provide material management and purchasing support to Electric Transmission and Substation Construction Projects. 

Responsibilities:

-Analyzing, processing, and maintenance of project material receipt paperwork. Analyzing material usage patterns for project and inventory items

-Utilize SAP, MS Access, MS Excel, and other data processing tools to analyze and report on inventory, supplier orders, schedule exceptions, and supporting system data as needed. 

-Tracking open orders for problematic suppliers and distributing exceptions

-Creating material reservations, requisitions, and pick requests

-Creating and distributing reports for bills of materials, material reservations, requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, pick requests, and stored project items

-Bill of Material processing

Requirements:

-2-4 years related experience

-Basic knowledge of materials management, procurement processes, and inventory control.

-Basic knowledge of client groups, commodities, and specialties.

-Basic knowledge of environmental, government, legal, and regulatory requirements.

-Basic knowledge of inventory analysis techniques.

-Basic knowledge of warehouse layout.

-Working knowledge of supplier relations, priority management, and tactical planning.

-Good oral, written, and presentation skills.

-Problem solving and analytical skills.

-Basic forecasting and trend analysis skills.

-Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access

-Value and cost analysis skills.

-Ability to manage multiple priorities and to meet deadlines.

-Ability to process information quickly and accurately.

-Ability to walk, stoop, and bend, to perform walkdowns and to search for materials.

-Good color vision to identify materials.

-Good hearing for telephone communications.

Top must have skills:

-Inventory Analysis Experience,

-Supply Chain Experience.

Nice to have skills:

-Microsoft Access Experience

-Microsoft Excel Experience

-Material Inventory Experience

-Data Management Experience

-Electrical Substation Construction Experience

-Electrical Transmission Line Construction Experience

-SAP Experience

Education and Certifications/Licensures required:

-High School Diploma Required Min.

-Associates Degree and Bachelors Degree preferred – Business, Marketing, Supply Chain

-Degree or an equivalent combination of education and 2-4 years demonstrated related experience may be accepted
