Job Description:
Direct Hire

Remote Work (in VA, NJ, OH, CO, NY)

Techead is seeking an experienced Digital Creative Director to manage creative teams and drive design projects for a growing marketing agency.

Ideal Candidates: 

Able to lead a multidisciplinary team of UX/UI designers, motion designers, and art directors on  projects from concept to completion with strong leadership and creative vision

Define and guide the digital creative process to align with client needs

Work with Account Services and Engineering ensure clients needs are being met and creative goals are on track

Lead and facilitate a variety of different creative initiatives for UX/UI, design thinking, technology,  multimedia and marketing while staying within the overall strategic vision outlined by company executives

Bring a strategic mindset to projects in order to produce well-designed digital experiences that  are not only beautiful but also effective in the market

Hands-on and have full knowledge of programs and applications for the development of experiences in digital channels

What you’ll do:

Attend strategy meetings and partner with the Account Director on the goals and health of the client relationship

Interface with the client through all stages of the creative process and partner with the Account  Director to represent the agency in client meetings

Provide creative strategy, design inspiration, and the process steps needed to meet clients goals and  objectives

Have a clear understanding of requirements and how they influence front-end visual design

Partner with digital engineers to vet project requirements and creative solutions needed to meet project goals

Understand HTML/CSS to facilitate communications with development teams to meet the visual intent of a project

Develop prototypes and mockups to convey customer interaction

Drive digital-first creative thinking and innovation across channels

Manage the creative team and process for current projects and assign new ones

Lead brainstorming and design thinking sessions to develop campaigns based on client goals

Create proposals, estimate hours, and help define project scope

Participate in client pitches and lead the creative team in presentations

Consistently bring innovative creative solutions and design applications to inspire the teams work

Work closely with the Executive Creative Director to achieve world-class creative execution

About you:

Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Interface Design, Fine Art/Design, Advertising or Marketing or related field; Masters degree or equivalent work experience preferred, or digital UI/UX Bootcamp certification with a Visual focus

7-10 years of experience in a creative role

Expertise in web and digital design, as well as UX/UI principles and best practices

Knowledge of CMS systems, development cycles, digital design systems, and building customer-first digital experiences across all platforms

Solid background in design

Knowledge of each step of a campaigns process to give creatives direction, complete work on schedule, and meet client’s expectations

Strong understanding of creative for content, websites, email, social media, and mobile applications

Proficient in Sketch, XD and the entire Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), as well as prototyping tools and Microsoft applications

Supervisory experience in leading a creative team is a must.
