Job Description:
IT Systems Analyst (Health Insurance payer workflow) | 18648

Contract – 1 yr

Remote – EST hours

Responsible for day-to-day support and optimization of software applications, to include builds, upgrades, and system enhancements.

  • Analyzes business / clinical needs, evaluates software releases and / or new products and gives recommendations to optimize processes and decrease expenses.
  • Possesses in-depth business / clinical and application knowledge and experience.
  • Performs and documents workflow assessments to determine functional requirements for optimal utilization of applications.
  • Develops system test plans and performs testing of software upgrades and patches.
  • Maintains a record of test progress and test results. Responsible for problem, incident and change management and service requests.
  • Provides daily on call support to the customer base for application related issues.
  • Works within cross-functional team and with end-users to achieve application integration to meet business / clinical needs.
  • Responsible for the communication of software issues, requirements, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Oversees smaller sized projects or components of projects.
  • Coordinates implementation or project planning around software application releases.
  • Consult on the current state of an IT system and provide data-driven advice on how to expand or refine its operations to meet company needs.
  • Systems Analysts collect data, observe workflows and monitor system activity to identify vulnerabilities or areas of improvement.
  • They communicate their findings to company leaders and help them compromise their needs and resources.
  • System Analysts train their IT team and help guide the implementation of new systems and procedures.
  • Understanding healthcare payer business and applications.
  • Specific skill sets in claims adjudication logic and rules, encounter data management required.
  • Experience in collaborating with business SME on requirements documentation, translation to technical specifications for software development and systems configuration.
  • Ability to define test case scenarios following standards defined by Testing Center of Excellence.
