Job Description:

Lead Computer Technician

TECHEAD is looking for a Lead Computer Technician to join one of our clients’ teams in Grand Junction, Colorado! The client is a single source of IT solutions for businesses and organizations of all sizes. As a local IT service provider, they are seeking candidates who are reliable and have an interest in the IT field. The Lead Computer Lifecycle & Repair Technician is responsible for maintaining devices throughout their lifetime, repairing laptops and desktops, and delivering devices as needed. They will lead other 1-2 other technicians as well as work directly with the client to ensure quality service. Duties/Responsibilities:

Accurately diagnose and repair computers to working condition for our customers. The candidate will need to be able to accurately record repairs and close tickets while also distributing parts and receiving parts into the database. This individual must be able to prioritize, communicate with customers and manage the account with little to no supervision. The intent is to grow this person into a supervisor down the road as we continue to grow the business so they must have prior management experience.

Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming. Label and clean computers as needed. Ability to maintain a clean workstation. Must have a general knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Troubleshoot a variety of computer issues
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times
  • Ability to work as a team player in a professional environment
  • Accurately and legibly fill out repair tickets
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs with no restrictions
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • A clean driving record is required

Education/Experience:

  • Hands-on Chromebook/laptop repair experience 
  • Lead/Supervisor Experience 
  • Strong customer service experience 
  • High school diploma required
  • Associate degree desired
  • Relevant experience desired
  • A+ certification a plus
