Job Description:
Communications Manager
Location: Hanscom Air Force Base, MA
Clearance: Secret
Responsibilities:

Manage and execute Base Cyber/IT and AF Enterprise Service missions as the Communications Focal Point (CFP).

Act as the primary conduit for implementing cyber orders from the 16th Air Force Operations Center or the MAJCOM Communications Coordination Center (MCCC).

Monitor the performance and cybersecurity posture of the Base Area Network.

Review, disseminate, and report on compliance for all cyber orders, including FRAGORDs, TASKORDs, and STRATCOMs.

Manage and review GENADMINs, SITREPs, and OPREPs. Create Authorized System Interruptions (ASIs) and assist in preparing reports for communications-related events.

Provide situational awareness to local commanders and directors regarding mission support capabilities.

Coordinate with the 66 ABG and AFMC/MCCC on operational impacts and track Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).

Provide 24/7 point of contact for organizational leadership, the command post, and Security Forces for contingency coordination.

Manage service incidents and requests, and provide user experience monitoring for Hanscom users.

Identify and report recurring service incidents and support the diagnosis and resolution of problems.
Qualifications:
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity/Information Technology or a related field. (4 additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree).

Experience: 12+ years of cybersecurity experience within the DoD or another federal agency.

Certifications: CISSP certification is required.

Skills:
-
Strong knowledge of Air Force, DoD, and federal cybersecurity directives.

Experience with Active Directory (AD).

Proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS SharePoint.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-
Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively across departments.

Clearance: Must have an active Secret clearance.
-
Other: Knowledge of Tactical Local Area Network Encryptor (TACLANE) systems is a plus.
