Job Description:
Cloud Design Engineer (Full Scope Poly Required)
Cloud Design Engineer requiring an active Full Scope Polygraph clearance and 100% on-site work in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.
This role focuses on designing, implementing, and enhancing complex Web-Based User Interfaces (UIs) that interact directly with Big Data Cloud systems, leveraging expertise in distributed computing and the Hadoop Ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities

Web UI Development: Directly contribute to all stages of designing, implementing, and testing Web-Based UIs that expose data produced by Big Data Cloud-Based infrastructure.

Cloud & Big Data Expertise: Provide expertise in Cloud Technologies, Distributed Computing, and how to best display large datasets. Propose new methods for analyzing data stored in Cloud Big Table and Cloud Distributed File System.

Design Implementation: Implement Graphical Web-Based UIs with a strong focus on usability, security, and performance.

Systems Input: Provide specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs and software reuse.

Information Retrieval: Provide in-depth knowledge of Information Retrieval, assisting the software development team in designing, developing, and testing Cloud Information Retrieval capabilities.

Quality Assurance & Leadership: Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements. Resolve software problem reports. May oversee one or more software development tasks, ensuring quality control and adherence to process standards.

| Software Engineering Exp. | Eight (8) years of software engineering experience in similar programs. |
| Cloud/Big Data Exp. | Two (2) years of the experience must be in programs utilizing Big Data Cloud technologies and/or Distributed Computing (e.g., Hadoop Eco-System). |
Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
