Job Description:
Senior Software Engineer (SWE) (Full Scope Poly Required)
Senior Software Engineer (SWE) requiring an active Full Scope Polygraph clearance and 100% on-site work in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.
This role involves the development, maintenance, and enhancement of complex and diverse software systems—including high-performance analytics, real-time systems, and extremely large data manipulations—while providing technical leadership and input on system design trade-offs.
Must have experience with Python, Java, and/or C++
Key Responsibilities

Software Development Lifecycle: Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems based on documented requirements. Designs and codes new software or modifies existing software to add new features or correct errors.

Requirements & Design: Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance specifications. Provides specific input to system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and the use of COTS/GOTS products.

System Integration: Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments. Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries.

Advanced Engineering: Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict outcomes. Develop or implement complex algorithms adhering to strict timing, resource, or interface constraints.

Quality & Testing: Debug existing software, correct defects, and assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to design requirements.

Process Improvement: Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.

Leadership (Senior Level): May serve as team lead or oversee one or more software development teams, ensuring work aligns with the constraints of the defined development process.

| Experience | Fourteen (14) years experience as a Software Engineer (SWE) in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. |
| Technical Focus | Experience with processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithms, manipulation of extremely large data sets, or real-time systems. |
Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
