Job Description:
Role Overview: The Project Controls Analyst manages the financial lifecycle of government contracts. You will partner with Program Management and Finance to ensure accurate spend plans, compliant billing, and rigorous budget monitoring using Deltek Costpoint.
Key Responsibilities

Financial Management: Maintain project spend plans (labor, travel, funding) and reconcile data against the general ledger during monthly closes.

Billing & Invoicing: Prepare and validate client invoices; ensure accuracy of labor hours, rates, and ceilings. Manage Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) documentation.

Compliance: Audit Travel Authorization Requests (TARs) and expense reports; research and resolve financial discrepancies to ensure policy compliance.

Monitoring & Reporting: Track contract funding thresholds and notify leadership of potential overruns. Prepare ad hoc reports for Program Management Reviews (PMRs).

Subcontractor Oversight: Review and process subcontractor invoices for accuracy and contractual alignment.

Contract Lifecycle: Execute contract modifications in Costpoint and support final closeout reconciliations.
Qualifications
-
Experience: 5–10 years in project controls or government contracting finance.

Systems: Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint is required.

Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of FAR/DFARS billing requirements.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (or equivalent experience).

Communication: Proven ability to collaborate across functional teams (Contracts, HR, PMs).
