IT Operations Project Manager
Location: Hanscom AFB, MA (100% On-Site)
Clearance: Active DoD Secret
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of DoD IT infrastructure and modernization initiatives. This role acts as a critical bridge between government stakeholders, base civil engineering, and technical teams to manage project lifecycles from initial site survey through enterprise-aligned implementation.
Key Responsibilities

Project Lifecycle Management: Partner with government stakeholders and SMEs to identify, validate, and track IT requirements for system technical refreshes, sustainment, and modernization projects.

Acquisition & Documentation: Translate technical requirements into actionable acquisition artifacts, including Statements of Work (SOW), Statements of Objectives (SOO), MOAs/MOUs, and Tasking Orders.

Air Force & DoD Compliance: Ensure all projects strictly adhere to Air Force enterprise architecture, MPTO 00-33A-1001, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and DoDI standards.

Requirements Processing: Assist base customers with developing Communication Systems Requirement Documents (CSRDs). Process procurements through approved federal channels like GSA (AF Advantage) and 2GIT.

Systems Engineering Support: Perform physical site surveys and provide engineering solutions, including cost estimates, integration testing, and lifecycle support plans.

Stakeholder Coordination: Sync activities between base leadership and external customers. Maintain the unit’s master files and annually update the 66 ABG/SC Project Management Handbook.
Requirements & Qualifications
Clearance & Tools:

Clearance: Active DoD Secret clearance is strictly required.

Enterprise Tools: Hands-on familiarity with Air Force and IT systems: ServiceNow, CIPS, CIPS-CVC, and CSRD processes.
Experience & Education:

Education: Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of relevant technical/professional experience.

Substitution: An additional 4 years of direct IT project management experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree (12 years total).

Skills: Excellent brief preparation and communication skills; highly proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (Teams, SharePoint, Excel).
