Lead Audio Visual Technician | 22348
Raleigh, NC
Direct Hire | Full-time
On-site Local | Some Travel Required up to 50%
We are actively seeking a Lead Audio Visual (AV) Technician with 5+ years of experience in commercial AV installations to join our growing field team.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a skilled AV Installer / Low Voltage Technician / AV Systems Specialist with experience in permanent commercial installations such as:
• Conference Rooms & Boardrooms
• Corporate Offices
• Classrooms & Educational Facilities
• Digital Signage Systems
• Video Walls & Control Systems
Important: This role is strictly for commercial AV installation.
No live events, broadcast, or studio production experience will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise a team of AV Technicians / Low Voltage Installers on commercial job sites
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot audio visual systems, including displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, cameras, and control systems
• Manage low voltage cabling installations (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optics, coaxial, control wiring)
• Perform cable termination (crimping, soldering, splicing)
• Build and install equipment racks and AV infrastructure
• Interpret and execute based on construction drawings, AV schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
• Conduct AV system testing, quality control, and commissioning
• Troubleshoot AV systems, control systems, and network-related issues
• Maintain project timelines, inventory, and installation standards
• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and internal teams
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with OSHA safety standards
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of commercial AV installation experience (MUST)
• Strong background in low voltage systems, structured cabling, and AV integration
