Job Description:
4 Month Contract
Onsite – Laurel, MD
Work a 9/80 schedule. Every other Friday off.

Hourly Rate: $26/hr – $30/hr

You will play a key role in the assembly, fabrication, repair, and testing of electromechanical assemblies used in prototype systems and test support equipment. This hands-on position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical documentation, and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
• Assemble, fabricate, solder, and repair electrical and electromechanical assemblies for prototype systems and test support equipment.
• Build, route, terminate, and inspect custom cable and wire harnesses in accordance with engineering drawings and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform rework on cable harnesses and electrical assemblies to ensure quality and functionality.
• Review vendor-supplied cable and harness drawings to verify manufacturability, proper design, and tooling requirements.
• Support testing and integration activities by assembling and maintaining prototype hardware and support equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to quality and manufacturing procedures.

Basic Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification, associate degree, or vocational training in electronics, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
• 1+ years of experience assembling cable harnesses, electrical assemblies, or electromechanical systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, work instructions, and bills of materials.
• Proficiency using hand tools, wire strippers, crimpers, soldering equipment, and other assembly tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and perform rework on electrical assemblies and cable harnesses.
