Job Description:
Supply Chain Planning Coordinator
Location: Huntersville, NC
Position Type: 3-Month Contract (Temporary, with potential for extension/growth)
Work Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week (MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM EST)
Work Model: Hybrid (TuesdayThursday On-Site / Monday & Friday Remote)
Pay Rate: $18.00 $22.00/hr (depending on experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Planning Coordinator to join a growing team in Huntersville, NC. This role serves as a vital operational link between Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Merchandising, DC Operations, and external suppliers to ensure accurate system data, timely product availability, and efficient inventory flow.
This position is ideal for a junior-to-mid-level supply chain professional who excels at multitasking, basic data analytics, and cross-functional coordination in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

Purchase Order & Arrival Tracking: Create, update, and maintain Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs), delivery schedules, and ETA updates in enterprise systems. Review open purchase orders for timing, quantities, and SKU alignment.

Inbound & Supplier Coordination: Monitor supplier delivery schedules and track shipments. Investigate and resolve delivery errors, shipment discrepancies, and vendor-related issues.

Inventory & Planning Support: Support inventory planning activities, MRP reviews, and waterfall analysis. Research purchase order discrepancies, including GR/IR and invoice reconciliations.

Product Lifecycle & Stock Management: Monitor inactive, low-demand, and discontinued SKUs to support inventory disposition. Identify potential shortages, excess inventory, and supply risks across finished goods and components.

Reporting & Data Analysis: Generate, maintain, and review daily/weekly supply chain reports, dashboards, metrics, and scorecards using Microsoft Excel.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in weekly planning and S&OP-related discussions. Communicate inventory constraints, delivery updates, and supply risks to Planning, Operations, and Customer Service teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
-
Education & Experience: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience) plus 2+ years of hands-on experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, procurement, or operations.

Technical Skills: Basic-to-intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and report compilation).

Core Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a clear understanding of inventory control and planning processes.

Soft Skills: Highly organized, self-directed, and able to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines independently.
Preferred:

Hands-on experience with SAP or similar enterprise ERP systems.

Familiarity with S&OP/SIOP processes or product lifecycle management.

APICS/ASCM certification (or active pursuit of certification).
Hiring Process & Opportunity

Work Arrangement: Hybrid schedule requiring 3 days on-site in Huntersville, NC (TuesdayThursday) and 2 days remote (Monday/Friday).

Assignment Details: Initial 3-month contract to support team workload growth. While structured as a temporary assignment, strong performance and evolving business needs could lead to long-term opportunities.
