Background and Project Overview
Our client operates a portfolio of independent subsidiary brands that function as designers, manufacturers (via third parties), importers, and distributors. These brands operate across diverse sales channels, including B2C, B2B, and Marketplace (B2B2C) models.
They are launching a high-priority initiative to transition eight independent business units onto a unified business application suite. As a core member of the project team, this analyst will play a critical role in defining the future-state operating model, selecting the ideal software stack, and executing the implementation roadmap. This includes the end-to-end lifecycle from initial business case development to post-deployment support.
Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Analysis: Lead the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of comprehensive business requirements. Research user needs, costs, and benefits to support the formal demand management process.

Process Engineering: Document current-state processes to identify gaps and define optimized future-state models. Analyze both “hard” factors (I/O requirements, hardware/software) and “soft” factors (roles, policy, and organizational culture).

Solution Selection & Strategy: Contribute to the evaluation of software vendors and the development of the formal business case for executive approval.

Technical Execution: * Manage software configuration and maintenance across multiple environments.

Develop and maintain configuration workbooks.

Ensure architectural consistency and adherence to usability standards.

Testing & Quality Assurance: Define and develop user test cases, execute unit and functional testing, and validate results.

Training & Support: Conduct system demonstrations, participate in training content design, and provide Tier 3 troubleshooting support for production systems.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (relevant work experience may be substituted).

Professional Experience: * Typically 2–6 years of technical or business work experience.

A minimum of 5 years in business or systems analysis is preferred.

Domain Expertise: Prior experience in Finance, Accounting, Sales Operations, Order Entry, or Procurement is highly desired.

Technical Proficiency: * Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).

Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Familiarity with data mapping and application integration methods.

ERP selection and implementation experience is a significant advantage.
