Job Description:

Cybersecurity and Information Assurance Specialist

Support the mission at Hanscom AFB (HAFB) by securing information systems and sustaining required infrastructure. This role ensures the security and accreditation of Air Force Information Network (AFIN) assets for HAFB and its Geographically Separated Units (GSUs).

You will be the primary expert for Information System Security and Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance. Responsibilities include:

• Cybersecurity & Accreditation: Analyzing and advising on network security and IT certification/accreditation issues based on standards like ICD 503, JSIG, and NISPOM.

• Program Management: Developing, implementing, and overseeing security program policies, performing risk assessments, and managing the formal Information Systems Security Program.

• SCIF Expertise: Proven expertise in the design and construction of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs).

• Training & Documentation: Ensuring security training is delivered, conducting certification tests, and maintaining all system accreditation documentation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity/IT (or 4 additional years of experience).

• 8+ years of DoD or Federal Agency Cybersecurity experience.

• Strong knowledge of DoD/Air Force Cyber Directives.

• IAT Level II (Security+) certification required.

• Secret Clearance required (TS/SCI eligibility preferred).
