Job Description:

Java Developer with Spring/Spring Boot

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Java Developer to join our team in designing, developing, and maintaining complex, high-performance applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the Java ecosystem, particularly Spring and Spring Boot, and a strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies. This position requires an active Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) clearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement robust, scalable, and secure applications using Java and the Spring/Spring Boot framework.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, architects, and other developers, to define requirements and deliver high-quality features.

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.

• Develop and integrate with RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to improve performance and stability.

• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to specifications.

• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.

• Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Required Qualifications

• Security Clearance: Must possess an active Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) clearance.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in Java development.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience developing applications using Spring and/or Spring Boot.

  • Proven experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and SQL.

  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.

  • Experience developing RESTful web services/APIs and microservices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes).

• Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular).

• Experience with message queuing systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).

• Understanding of agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
