Job Description:
TECHEAD is currently hiring a Pricing Analyst for one of our clients in Richmond, VA. The Pricing Analyst will support the Sales and Marketing teams to Drive regional price development and execution by ensuring alignment with corporate pricing systems and fostering a culture of value-based pricing excellence.
100% Onsite M-F
Price Administration and Compliance
- Contractual Execution: Calculate and implement custom pricing mechanisms accurately and on schedule, ensuring all customer contractual obligations are met.
- Governance & Compliance: Maintain regional oversight for price approval workflows, “Most Favored Customer” (MFC) status, and internal financial controls.
- Validation & Audit: Research and verify monthly and quarterly price adjustments; ensure all changes meet review criteria and secure necessary management approvals.
- Incentive Management: Validate rebate accruals and payouts, managing all communications with Sales and Finance regarding financial standing and executive approvals.
- Systems Advocacy: Act as the regional lead for the enterprise pricing platform, overseeing training and daily utilization for:
- Sales: Quote generation and configuration tools.
- Marketing: Profitability analysis and pricing architecture.
- Pricing: Global price point management and execution.

Process Optimization: Apply critical thinking and Lean / Six Sigma methodologies to reduce data errors, maximize system efficiency, and eliminate accrual shortfalls.
Margin Management
- Performance Tracking: Proactively analyze regional results to monitor the success of pricing strategies and the effectiveness of current price structures.
- Market Adjustments: Lead the implementation of general market price changes and ensure the Sales organization is aligned with updated pricing architecture.
- Profitability Improvement: Identify margin-leakage areas and define corrective actions to enhance overall bottom-line performance.
- Quotation Oversight: Follow global standards for quote management, guiding regional Sales and Marketing teams through a proactive, process-compliant approach to new bids.
- Reporting & Documentation: Execute comprehensive price reviews supported by data for internal and external stakeholders, focusing on:
- Cost drivers (Raw materials, packaging, and fluid trends).
- Customer profitability and “Share of Wallet” analysis.
- Historical vs. future pricing sensitivity models.
- Value Leakage Prevention: Identify and launch projects to optimize the product portfolio and recover lost value.
Pricing Strategy:
- Strategy Implementation: Execute regional pricing initiatives in alignment with global policy, serving as a champion for Value-Based Pricing (VBP).
- Segmentation & Value Drivers: Partner with Marketing Managers to analyze product and customer segments, identifying specific value drivers for each.
- Mentorship: Coach product marketers to ensure that market competition, customer value, and product costs are all factored into final pricing decisions.
- Competitive Intelligence: Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to maintain a database of competitive market insights within legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Compliance Auditing: Responsible for auditing regional adherence to global pricing standards and regulatory “Most Favored Customer” policies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a strong plus.
- Experience: 1–2 years of relevant professional experience in pricing, commercial finance, or market analysis.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Systems Expertise: Experience with Enterprise Price Optimization software and familiarity with ERP systems such as global logistics or financial modules.
- Analytical Rigor: Proven ability to synthesize market trends into actionable pricing recommendations and strategic decisions.
- Pricing Knowledge: Solid understanding of Value-Based Pricing methodologies, market competition principles, and customer value extraction.
- Financial Acumen: Ability to analyze the financial impact of pricing strategies, including margin management and profitability analysis.
- Operational Excellence: Highly organized with a strict focus on accuracy and detail when managing complex, non-standard contractual mechanisms.
- Communication and Conflict Resolution: Excellent oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to solve problems and resolve cross-functional conflicts.
- Drive for Results: Strong tenacity in delivering tangible business outcomes and process improvements.
- Travel: Ability to travel as required, typically less than 10% of the time.
