Job Description:
6+ Month Contract Role
Onsite in Richmond, VA
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to handle a variety of administrative and clerical accounting tasks within our financial operations department. This role is central to ensuring the accuracy of outgoing payments, regulatory compliance, and the integrity of our financial records.
Key Responsibilities

Transaction Management: Facilitate the processing of outgoing claim payments, daily banking transactions, and deposits.

Data Integrity & Systems: Execute high-volume data entry into financial and claims management systems while maintaining digital archives and document imaging.

Accounts Receivable/Payable Support: Research payment histories, process refunds/charges, and prepare invoices and statements for distribution.

Compliance & Audit: Manage the distribution of regulatory mailings (e.g., Unclaimed Property letters) and provide documentation support during internal/external audits and partner onboarding.

Collaborative Resolution: Partner with the Customer Service department to investigate and resolve account-related inquiries.
Qualifications & Skills

Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (equivalent professional experience will be considered).

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a professional financial or accounting environment.

Technical Proficiency: * Strong working knowledge of large-scale ERP or Business Intelligence systems.

Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (data organization, formulas).
