TECHEAD is hiring for one of our clients, a large-scale distributor and manufacturer that operates across B2C, B2B, and B2B2C sales channels. Our client is currently executing a multi-phase project to implement a common set of business applications to manage and execute operations across several independent business units.

The Business Systems Analyst will be a core member of the project team, responsible for determining business requirements, collaborating with leadership to define end-state operations, and supporting the migration of data from legacy systems into a new ERP environment (Sage X3). The project is currently entering Phase 2 of 3, focusing on integrating five additional companies into the established environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Requirements Management: Lead the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business and user requirements, with a heavy focus on data mapping and transformation rules.

  • Process Improvement: Analyze current business processes to identify gaps and define new processes that meet organizational needs.

  • Data Migration: Own the data migration requirements from multiple legacy systems (including homegrown applications and E21) into the Sage X3 environment.

  • Systems Analysis: Evaluate detailed system factors (input/output, software/hardware needs) and “soft” factors (roles, culture, policy) to assess the impact of changes.

  • Testing & Validation: Define and develop user test cases, validate results during testing, and execute unit and functional tests.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate working groups to define requirements and assist in the creation of business case documentation.

  • Support & Training: Provide third-level support to troubleshoot production issues and participate in the design or delivery of training content.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience in business or systems analysis.

  • Technical Focus: Strong hands-on expertise in data migration/ETL (3–5 years) and working across multiple data environments.

  • Tools: Must be proficient in Jira (3–5 years) and Confluence (3–5 years).

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Domain Knowledge: Experience in Sales Ops, Finance, Accounting, Procurement, or Warehouse/Order Management is highly desired.

Technical Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficiency in Excel, Visio, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Familiarity with application integration methods and data mapping processes.

  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.

  • Bonus Skills: Previous experience with Sage X3 (ERP) or SQL is a significant advantage.

Soft Skills

  • Proactive Communicator: Comfortable engaging the business and asking probing questions to drive outcomes.

  • Collaborative: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and all levels of associates.

  • Organized: Able to manage simultaneous, complex projects with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment.
