Job Description:

EDI Implementation Specialist

Remote working East Coast hours
12+ month contract 

Our client is seeking a hands-on EDI Implementation Specialist to support a high-volume trading partner onboarding initiative. This role focuses on end-to-end integration within an ERP-driven batch processing environment. You will serve as a bridge between technical architecture and business operations to ensure seamless partner migrations and setups.

Core Responsibilities

• Onboarding & Migration: Execute end-to-end trading partner onboarding, managing the lifecycle from initial requirement gathering to production go-live.

• Process Mapping: Develop and maintain process maps, configuration workbooks, and functional design documentation.

• Testing & Support: Conduct manual testing and provide hands-on support for both test and production environments.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with solution architects to define requirements and coordinate efforts across technical and business teams.

Technical Qualifications

• EDI Platforms: 3–5 years of direct experience using major EDI platforms (specifically those comparable to industry-leading cloud integration hubs).

• ERP Systems: Proven experience working within an ERP environment; familiarity with enterprise-level mid-market or Tier 1 ERPs is required.

• Integration Style: Proficiency in batch processing workflows and flat-file integrations (rather than real-time API-only environments).

Requirements & Competencies

• Onboarding Track Record: Demonstrated success in supporting multiple simultaneous integrations or high-volume trading partner rollouts.

• Documentation Focus: Comfort with documentation-heavy workflows, including requirement analysis and detailed configuration mapping.

• Communication: Ability to clearly articulate technical roles during testing and onboarding phases to non-technical stakeholders.

• Testing Rigor: Experience with manual testing protocols and validating data integrity across systems.

Preferred Experience

• Direct involvement in large-scale EDI migrations.

• Experience managing high-volume onboarding “waves.”

• Familiarity with functional design documentation for complex supply chain workflows.
