12+ Month Contract Role

Background & Project Scope Our client’s organization operates a diverse portfolio of proprietary product brands that function as end-to-end designers, importers, and distributors. These brands reach customers through a multi-channel approach, including B2C, B2B, and B2B2C Marketplace environments.
They are currently launching a high-priority strategic initiative to harmonize business operations across eight independent business units. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will be a core member of the project team tasked with selecting and implementing a common set of enterprise applications. You will play a critical role in defining the “future state” operating model, building the business case for new technology, and executing the multi-year implementation roadmap.
Duties & Responsibilities

Requirements Engineering: Lead the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of comprehensive business requirements.

Process Optimization: Analyze current state “as-is” workflows to identify gaps and design “to-be” processes that improve organizational efficiency.

Holistic Analysis: Evaluate both technical factors (I/O requirements, hardware/software needs) and “soft” factors (roles, responsibilities, policy, and culture).

Solution Configuration: Responsible for the hands-on configuration of software environments. Develop and maintain configuration workbooks and seek stakeholder approval.

Demand Management: Research user requirements, costs, and benefits to support formal demand management and business case documentation.

Testing & Quality Assurance: Define and develop user test cases, execute unit and functional testing, and validate results.

Deployment & Support: Conduct system demonstrations and training sessions. Provide Tier 3 technical support for production systems to resolve complex issues.

Collaboration: Facilitate focus groups and workshops to define requirements; partner closely with engineering teams on web-based integrations and API standards.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (equivalent professional experience will be considered).

Experience: * Typically 2–6 years of technical or business analysis experience.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis is preferred.

Proven track record supporting the full lifecycle of web-based applications, from initial requirements through production release.

Technical Proficiencies & Soft Skills:
-
Methodologies: Deep knowledge of the SDLC and Scrum frameworks; proficiency with Jira and Confluence is required.

Systems Integration: Familiarity with application integration methods, including data mapping and a working knowledge of APIs and web environments.

Communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and present effectively to all levels of leadership.

Operational Excellence: Highly organized and proactive; able to manage simultaneous complex projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Software: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and standard productivity tools.
