Phil Conein is President and Co-Founder of TECHEAD. He has over 32 years of experience in the arena of IT Recruiting, Digital Media, Creative Design, Technology, corporate structure, and oversight. 

Strengths are leadership, mentorship, contract negotiation, and financial analysis in support of the company's goals. Creative thinking and purposeful business strategy and tactics are additional capabilities. 

As a mentor, business advisor and visionary, Phil has served on various business and community boards and partners with IT companies to help launch their brands. This has included a three-term appointment on the Board of Directors of RichTech, as well as service on the VMFA (Virginia Museum of Fine Arts) Business Council. 

Phil is a founding member – and a former board member – of the Virginia Council of CEOs. Always an entrepreneur, Phil has been a strong supporter of growing Richmond’s startup community to including Lighthouse Labs. He was the catalyst for local business investment in the 1717 Innovation Center. He also was a Director and board member for Richmond Unite, helping coordinate the #DSRPT11 event. 

He is a past winner of RichTech's Community Catalyst Award and has been a finalist in Style Weekly’s “Top 40 Under 40.” Phil’s leadership has promoted TECHEAD as a multi-year honoree on the “INC 5000” and “Inner City 100” lists, recognizing America’s fastest-growing urban businesses. TECHEAD also was named Central Virginia’s Small Business Success Story of the Year by Virginia Business magazine.
