Job Description:

Cyber Security Lead

Location: Hanscom Air Force Base, MA
Clearance: Top Secret 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Communications Security (COMSEC) program for multiple organizational accounts. Ensure compliance and a strong security posture for Command Inspections, including managing cryptographic access and secure telephones.

  • Lead the Risk Management Framework (RMF) implementation and execution. Maintain accreditation and compliance for Base Enterprise Network Enclaves and systems, using the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).

  • Spearhead cyber security projects, establish base policies in line with DoD, AF, NSA, and NIST Special Publications, and manage the overall cybersecurity for the base.

  • Review and process Cybersecurity Vulnerability Management alerts, bulletins, and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to ensure timely remediation.

  • Directly manage contract thresholds, objectives, metrics, and deliverables in support of the program manager.

  • Support the accreditation of classified system plans for the Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC).


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity/Information Technology or a related field. (4 additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree).

  • Experience: 8+ years in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in general IT, operations, or management.

  • Certifications: CISSP certification is required.

  • Skills:

    • Expert-level knowledge of the RMF process and eMASS.

    • Strong knowledge of Air Force, DoD, and other federal cybersecurity directives.

    • Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tasks and Active Directory.

    • Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and customers.

  • Clearance: Must have an active Top Secret clearance.
