Data Integration and Business Intelligence Developer – Digital Analytics
Remote, U.S.
Position Summary
A 501(c)(3) non-profit faith-based organization is seeking an experienced Data Integration and Business Intelligence Developer to join its IT team. In this remote, U.S.-based role, you will design and implement enterprise-level data integration and business intelligence solutions using digital analytics platforms. The primary goal is to enable data-driven decision making across the organization.
Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement data integration and business intelligence solutions to support organizational goals.

Build and maintain data warehouses, ETL processes, and data pipelines using tools like SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

Gather and analyze business requirements for reporting and data integration.

Develop complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models, primarily on Microsoft SQL Server.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance and resolve data issues.

Document technical architectures, designs, and processes; produce clear technical support documentation.

Communicate technical information and data insights in a user-friendly manner to stakeholders at all levels.

Collaborate with IT and business teams, offering data support and ensuring alignment with organizational needs.
Required Qualifications

Experience with Database Technologies: Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL. Familiarity with relational and dimensional database design, theories, and best practices.

Data Warehouse and ETL: Hands-on experience with data warehouse architecture and extract/transform/load (ETL) processes. Proven ability to gather and analyze business requirements.

SSIS Proficiency: Proficient in using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for developing and managing ETL workflows.

Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail in ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

Communication and Documentation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas in clear, user-friendly language. Skilled in creating technical architecture and support documentation.

Interpersonal Abilities: Strong interpersonal skills; able to establish professional rapport with management, staff, and external stakeholders.

Work Ethic: Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under pressure, meeting deadlines consistently. Self-motivated, able to work independently, and effective as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS) and big data tools (such as Google BigQuery).

Data Analytics Tools: Experience with Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, or similar digital analytics and visualization tools.

Reporting and BI Tools: Experience with reporting and business intelligence tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Microsoft Power BI, or Excel PowerPivot.

Technical Fundamentals: Working knowledge of operating systems and networking protocols (e.g., Windows Server, TCP/IP) and current IT standards.

Data Privacy: Understanding of data privacy regulations and best practices (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and their application in data management.
