Job Description:

On-site work in the Appleton, WI area
A growing, multi-location organization with operations across the Midwest and East Coast is seeking a Director of Information Technology to support continued expansion. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, ideal for an experienced IT professional with expertise in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), systems integration, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic IT Leadership & M&A Integration

Direct technology integration strategies for acquisitions, ensuring smooth transitions of systems, infrastructure, and applications.

Conduct IT due diligence, manage post-acquisition consolidation, and mitigate risk.

Align IT roadmaps with business priorities to enhance operational efficiency.
Technical Oversight
-
Manage and consolidate multi-tenant Microsoft 365 environments.
-
Administer SQL databases with a focus on performance tuning and security.
-
Support enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, including platforms similar to Infor SX and Sage 300.
-
Offer basic Power BI support to enhance reporting and data insights.
-
Oversee cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred), focusing on cost control and performance.

Facilitate integration of diverse applications and platforms to streamline operations.
Operational IT Management

Lead infrastructure operations, including co-location services with a focus on uptime and disaster recovery.

Oversee vendor relationships and contract negotiations to align with organizational goals.

Manage simultaneous IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.

Provide frontline support and troubleshooting with a problem-solving mindset.
Team Leadership & Development

Guide a team of technical professionals, promoting continuous learning and professional growth.

Provide mentorship and skill development opportunities across the IT function.

Implement and maintain scalable documentation and process standards.
Qualifications
-
Demonstrated experience managing IT in a high-growth, acquisition-driven environment.

Expertise in M&A-related IT integrations.

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, including multi-tenant environments.

Strong background in SQL database management.

Working knowledge of ERP platforms such as Infor SX and Sage 300.

Experience managing Azure cloud services.

Familiarity with Power BI for basic reporting functions.

Hands-on experience with infrastructure and co-location management.

Strong negotiation skills related to vendor contracts.

Critical thinking skills, especially in high-pressure situations.

Effective team leadership and mentoring abilities.

Experience with cybersecurity practices, IT compliance, and governance frameworks is preferred.
