Job Description:
Operations Manager
Are you a highly motivated and talented professional seeking to join our Norfolk-based team, known for a long history of providing best-in-class service and support? We are looking for a Operations Manager to act as a key leader in our contracted efforts.
In this role, you will:
- Serve as the deputy overall lead, manager, and administrator for the contracted effort.
- Act as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities on technical and program/project issues.
- Oversee and ensure efficient contractor execution of all contract requirements.
- Manage the strategic acquisition and employment of program/project resources.
Required Certifications, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Business, Engineering, or a related Technical Discipline.
- One of the following Project Management certifications is required:
- Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Agile Software Development/Management certification.
- Accredited college agile project management certification.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of professional Defense Acquisition experience, including:
- At least three (3) years in support of Navy Acquisition management.
- At least four (4) years of experience leading teams supporting Navy Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM), Planned Maintenance, or Automated Logistics systems development and sustainment. (Experience may be concurrent).
- Demonstrated knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures, with hands-on experience applying the requirements of the DoD 5000 series.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Current DoD Secret security clearance.
- Ability to travel as required.
