Job Description:
Sr. Accountant 

Contract: 1 month (possible short extension)
Remote or local to Richmond, VA

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of various monthly GL and investment holdings reconciliations
• Preparation and review of internal/external financial reporting and disclosures.
• Reconciles accounts and data warehouse.
• Prepares financial statements including both GAAP and Statutory investment schedules.
• Creates regulatory filings.
• Able to interact effectively with internal clients.
• Strong analytical abilities with advanced MS Excel skills.

Requirements:

• Years Exp: 5 – 10.
• Relies on extensive experience to plan and accomplish tasks.
• Leadership/Contributions: Sometimes leads and directs the work of others.
• Reports to: Senior Financial Reporting Manager.

Education:

• Advanced Degree or Certifications. CPA preferred, but open without depending on experience.
