Job Description:

The Business Development Specialist will identify and secure federal government contracts, with a focus on defense and cybersecurity. This role involves analyzing market trends, building relationships with key stakeholders, and supporting the entire proposal lifecycle. A strong understanding of federal procurement processes and cybersecurity compliance is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and qualify federal business opportunities using platforms like SAM.gov and GovWin.

• Develop and maintain relationships with government personnel and industry partners.

• Support the development of compliant and compelling proposals (RFPs, RFQs, etc.).

• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and government initiatives (e.g., CMMC).

• Collaborate with technical teams and provide regular reports to leadership.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

• Proven experience in tracking federal contracting opportunities.

• Proficiency with federal research platforms (GovWin, SAM.gov) and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

Highly Desired Experience:

• Experience with DoD or federal cybersecurity programs and compliance frameworks (CMMC, NIST).

• Familiarity with small business set-aside programs and federal procurement cycles.

• Proficiency with Deltek GovWin IQ.
