Job Description:
Principal Cybersecurity & Risk Management Analyst
This critical role supports the Air Force Mission mission to secure information and sustain infrastructure for Hanscom Air Force Base (HAFB) and its geographically separated units (GSUs). You will be a key contributor to the broader Air Force Information Network (AFIN) enterprise, leveraging strengths in integration, flexibility, AFIN knowledge, and advanced technical expertise to ensure mission success through efficient service delivery.
Core Responsibilities
You will serve as a Cybersecurity and Risk Management leader, responsible for the full spectrum of cyber defense, accreditation, and material security across the base enterprise.

Risk Management Framework (RMF) Leadership: Manage, implement, and execute RMF functions to ensure the continued accreditation and compliance of all Base Enterprise Network Enclaves and systems. You will be responsible for providing all necessary RMF artifacts via the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).

Communications Security (COMSEC) Management: Own the organizational COMSEC program, supporting multiple accounts. You must maintain a secure, efficient, and fully compliant COMSEC posture, demonstrating expert knowledge of material management, the Cryptographic Access program, and Secure Telephones for Command Inspections.

Cyber Defense and Policy Execution: Lead complex cybersecurity projects and establish or execute base policies aligned with DoD, AF, NSA, and NIST Special Publications to manage the overall cyber security of the base effectively.

Vulnerability Management: Take responsibility for reviewing and processing all Cybersecurity Vulnerability Management alerts, bulletins, and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Determine applicable implementation and remediation actions for the customer’s network environments.

Security Assurance & Mitigation: Ensure that all applicable systems and networks meet stringent security requirements and that all identified security risks are appropriately mitigated and documented.

Technical Team Direction: Direct team members and assist customers by providing expert analysis of security solutions and conducting robust security assessments for systems and networks under development. This includes managing contract thresholds, objectives, and deliverables.

Accreditation Support: Provide specialized support for the accreditation of Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) classified system plans.
Required Qualifications

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity/Information Technology (or equivalent) and 8 years of experience in Cybersecurity practices within the DoD or other Federal Agency. (An additional 4 years of experience may substitute for the degree.)

Specialized Experience: At least 3 years of experience in general information technology operations or management.

Clearance: Must possess an active Top-Secret Clearance.

Certification: CISSP certification is required.

Technical Expertise:

Expert-level knowledge of the RMF process and Cyber Defense, including extensive, hands-on experience with eMASS.

Strong knowledge of all applicable Air Force, DoD, and Federal Cybersecurity Directives and Instructions.

Experience with Active Directory (AD Users, Groups, and Computers).

Demonstrated ability to work dynamically on projects, conduct technical interchanges, and execute hands-on Cybersecurity tasks.
