Job Description:

Role Overview

As the Project Management Lead, you will serve as the primary integrator for IT and communications projects within the command. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle—from requirements validation and scope definition to final execution and compliance. This role requires a blend of technical oversight, stakeholder coordination, and rigorous adherence to Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution

• Lead Portfolio Management: Act as the supporting lead for all project management activities, collaborating with Requirements Managers to prioritize internal and external downward-directed projects.

• Lifecycle Administration: Administer standardized project and requirements processes; maintain and perform annual updates to the command’s Project Management Handbook.

• Stakeholder Integration: Partner with the Comm Focal Point (CFP), Communications Systems Officer (CSO), and Cyberspace Systems Integrator (CSI) to validate requirements, maintain architectural standards, and define project scope.

• Execution Oversight: Coordinate with Production Work Centers to ensure tasks are completed on time and align with broader organizational goals.

Compliance & Cybersecurity

• Regulatory Alignment: Ensure all IT programs meet Federal, DoD, and Department of the Air Force (DAF) laws and instructions.

• Cybersecurity Standards: Guarantee that project requirements satisfy the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503.

• Quality Assurance: Conduct site surveys and Quality Control (QC) inspections at various locations, documenting findings to facilitate solution analysis and system installations.

Information Management & Reporting

• Data-Driven Tracking: Proactively track progress and milestones using the Project Management Dashboard; prepare detailed briefings and findings reports for Government leadership.

• Plan Synchronization: Manage the receipt, safeguarding, and distribution of unit master plans, ensuring all changes are integrated into official file plans and accessible to relevant OPRs.

• Strategic Planning: Provide technical insight into hardware/software upgrades, identifying potential problem areas within the AF enterprise architecture to support future capability delivery.

Job Requirements

• Advanced Data Management: Proven ability to transform raw data and technical inputs into meaningful conclusions and statistical analytics.

• Technical Proficiency: Expert-level command of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and collaborative platforms (SharePoint, Teams).

• Strategic Thinking: Ability to interpret complex technical issues and procedures to provide sound recommendations to Government stakeholders.

• Communication: Exceptional reporting skills, with the ability to draft high-level briefings and manage sensitive project documentation.
