  • Artifact Tracking: Manage the ongoing import, organization, and lifecycle tracking of engineering artifacts and technical documentation.
  • User Enablement: Provide user support, onboarding, training, and continuous process improvements to enhance PLM adoption and workflow efficiency across teams.
  • Data Maintenance: Maintain and update component data, parameters, and workflows within ERP and PLM systems.
  • BOM Management: Create, structure, and manage complex Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Sourcing & Substitution: Identify alternate component sources and manage the qualification of new components based on lifecycle status, cost-efficiency, and supply chain availability.
  • Design Support: Support the selection of critical components for new product introductions (NPI) and cost-reduction initiatives in existing product lines.
  • Lifecycle & Environmental Compliance: Monitor and proactively manage component obsolescence and compliance standards (such as RoHS, REACH, and conflict minerals regulations).
  • Change Control Ownership: Serve as the primary owner of the Engineering Change Control process (ECO/ECN), ensuring timely, accurate, and disciplined implementation of changes across all enterprise systems and teams.
  • Documentation Management: Manage the creation, revision history, and controlled distribution of engineering blueprints, schematics, and manufacturing documents.
  • Process Improvement: Support the definition, optimization, and continuous improvement of core engineering release and configuration processes.
  • Technical Ingestion & Legacy Integration
  • Data Ingestion: Lead the technical ingestion, auditing, and mapping of designs and documentation from acquired companies, legacy portfolios, or external customers.
  • System Standardization: Standardize and import external design data into internal PLM, ERP, ECAD, and document control systems.
  • Process Alignment: Ensure integrated external data complies with internal engineering standards, naming conventions, and quality processes.
  • Cross-Functional Resolution: Collaborate across engineering, supply chain, and quality disciplines to resolve data compatibility, quality gaps, and documentation issues during integration.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in engineering services, PLM administration, document control, or product development support roles.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with enterprise PLM platforms (e.g., Aras, Infor, Windchill, Arena, or Teamcenter) and formal document control workflows.
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong fundamental understanding of electronic components, electro-mechanical hardware, and assembly processes.
  • Integration Experience: Experience integrating external data, legacy designs, or data from corporate acquisitions into modern engineering systems is highly preferred.
  • Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks, environmental directives, and safety standards for electronic products.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent organizational skills, precise attention to detail, and the cross-functional communication skills required to collaborate across engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.
