This month, we’re excited to introduce you to Dennis Linker, who joined us as a Sr. Business Development Manager in May 2026. We caught up with Dennis to learn more about what makes him tick:

Work & Career

  1. What is your favorite part of working at TECHEAD?
    The entire team has been very friendly and helpful so far. Seems like a close-knit group that just wants to see everyone succeed.
  2. What are you most proud of in your career so far?
    Starting completely from scratch in sales and building up a successful book of business.
  3. What do you think makes our team culture unique?
    Little to no internal competing against one another. Refreshing to see this type of work unity.
  4. What is one thing that you wish people knew about your job?
    That outside recruiting support is a positive thing and can be very beneficial to companies. I feel like recruiting/staffing can have a negative connotation in a lot of people’s minds.
  5. What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
    Helping a client fill a very difficult position/opening.
  6. If you could give one piece of advice to new employees, what would it be?
    Never get too high or low in this industry. You never know which candidates will work out and which won’t, so staying even keel through it all is key.
  7. What’s a skill you’d like to develop or improve?
    A golf game that is actually useful.
  8. What’s one goal you’re working toward this year?
    Expanding my client list into more industries.

Personal & Background

  1. Where do you live and who do you live with?
    Towson, MD – with Brianna (wife), Stella (daughter), Steele (son) and Dirk (dog).
  2. What hobbies do you have?
    Weightlifting and fantasy football. Kids have wiped out all others.
  3. Where is the coolest place you’ve ever visited?
    Mt. Vesuvius and Pompeii.
  4. What cities have you lived in?
    Westminster, MD; Morgantown, WV; Baltimore, MD; Towson, MD.
  5. Do you own any pets?
    Dirk, a six-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer.
  6. Do you know any other languages? If so, what are they?
    Moderate Spanish.
  7. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?
    Firefighter.
  8. What is one thing that not many people know about you?
    I was a volunteer firefighter for two years.

Fun & Favorites

  1. If you could have dinner with anyone, living or dead, who would it be and why?
    Stone Cold Steve Austin. Favorite wrestler of all time, seems like a great time.
  2. If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
    Super strength.
  3. What’s your go-to karaoke song?
    “Arms Wide Open” by Creed.
  4. Coffee or tea? And how do you take it?
    Coffee, with just a little creamer.
  5. What’s the weirdest food combination you actually enjoy?
    Fritos Scoops and cream cheese.
  6. If you were stranded on a desert island, what three items would you want with you?
    Paddle, axe, and crossbow.
  7. Is there one TV show you never miss?
    Severance.
  8. What is your favorite movie?
    The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
  9. What’s your favorite food and drink?
    Smoked brisket and an old fashioned.
  10. Favorite place to eat/drink around town?
    Heritage Smokehouse (Baltimore).
  11. What’s the last song you listened to?
    “Everything You Want” by Vertical Horizon.
  12. Favorite cartoon character?
    Muffin from Bluey.
  13. Favorite sports team?
    Baltimore Ravens.
  14. Do you have any heroes (sports, business, etc.)?
    My dad. He worked two full-time positions for many years to support us. He was a full-time career firefighter for Baltimore County, working a four-days-on, four-days-off schedule. He worked as a master electrician on his off days and loved to say that he worked eight days a week.
  15. If you could splurge on one must-have item, what would it be?
    A home sauna.
  16. What are three items still left on your bucket list?
    Attend an Orioles World Series game, go to Oktoberfest, and build an incredible home gym.

Advice & Learning

  1. What piece of advice would you give to your younger self?
    Get into IT.
  2. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
    Work is just work. Family is everything.
  3. What’s something you’ve learned recently that excited you?
    That microwaves are too large to fit through the mesh holes in a microwave door, but light waves are small enough to pass through.
