Job Details:

Title: Sr Systems Analyst
Location: Norfolk, VA
Compensation: $110,000 – $120,000 /per Year
Work Type: Contract-To-Hire
Work Location: On-Site

Job Description:

The team provides comprehensive information technology (IT) support services, including Program Management support, Network Engineering support, Video Teleconferencing and Audio/Visual support, Portal Management and Application Development support, Staff IT Business Process/IT Services support, Satellite Communications Planning support, Information Assurance (IA)/Cybersecurity support, Database Administration support, Communications Security support, and general IT systems administration and maintenance.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide systems administration, operations, and maintenance support for enterprise and operational IT systems within the CTF-80 Area of Responsibility (AOR).

• Maintain systems utilized to provide the Common Operational Picture (COP) and enterprise data streams in support of U.S. Northern Command and Homeland Defense missions.

• Develop, update, and maintain process guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational runbooks.

• Provide 24×7 on-call technical and operational escalation support for mission-critical command systems.

• Support server administration, storage virtualization, and Linux-based infrastructure operating across classified networks.

• Ensure all managed systems maintain continuous security compliance with DISA STIGs and DoD cybersecurity mandates.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in an IT-related field + 6 years of progressive systems engineering/administration experience; OR

• Associate’s Degree in an IT-related field + 8 years of experience; OR

• High School Diploma / Equivalent + 12 years of hands-on IT systems administration experience in lieu of a degree.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with server and storage virtualization, specifically VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.

• In-depth knowledge and experience maintaining, patching, and troubleshooting Linux servers (RHEL/CentOS) and associated core network services.

• In-depth knowledge of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) published STIG requirements, implementation processes, and cybersecurity compliance frameworks.

• Experience operating within classified Navy or DoD enterprise network environments.

Clearance & Certifications

• Clearance: Active Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance.

• Certification: Active CompTIA Security+ CE (or higher DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification).
