Job Description:
Electrical Hardware Design Engineer

Direct Hire
On-site
Baltimore, MD

Yearly Salary: $115,000 – $135,000

The PCB Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing printed circuit boards including schematic creation, board layout, and optimization for performance and manufacturability. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with electrical and mechanical engineering teams, performing simulations and validation of analog and RF circuits, and ensuring designs comply with industry standards and certification requirements. The role involves reviewing design specifications, generating documentation and manufacturing files, and supporting prototype builds and testing. The engineer will also participate in design reviews, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and product reliability.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Printed Circuit Boards Experience.
  • Strong Circuit Design and Electrical Engineering skills for developing reliable and efficient PCB solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Analog circuit design, including power supplies, signal conditioning, and driver circuits.
  • Proficiency in Board Layout for multilayer PCBs, including component placement, routing, and design for manufacturability.
  • Experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, KiCad) and simulation software.
  • Understanding of relevant standards and compliance requirements (e.g., EMC, safety, RoHS), especially for lighting or electronics products.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, create clear design reports, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented approach, strong problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
