Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-centric AV Field Service Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with commercial AV systems for our enterprise clients. In this role, you will be the face of our technical support, ensuring high system uptime, conducting preventative maintenance, and delivering a superior level of client service.

Responsibilities

  • System Diagnostics: Troubleshoot, verify, and document commercial AV system performance using a wide range of specialized test equipment.

  • Issue Resolution: Efficiently resolve hardware and software issues related to coax, ethernet, and fiber optic cabling.

  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine PM visits to ensure client AV systems and conference rooms are operating at optimum levels.

  • Inventory & Tools: Maintain personal toolkit and manage material/parts inventories for service calls.

  • Client Support: Provide a superior level of face-to-face support during maintenance and repair visits to foster long-term loyalty.

  • Clear Articulation: Clearly communicate troubleshooting actions, next steps, and resolutions to the client before leaving the site.

  • Vendor Liaison: Coordinate complex resolutions with internal Engineering teams and manufacturers.

  • RMA Management: Work with manufacturers to secure return authorizations (RMAs) and parts replacements for open service tickets.

  • Documentation: Accurately track all travel time, labor, and service notes within the company ticketing system.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of AV support experience specifically within a corporate/enterprise environment.

  • Core Tech: Direct troubleshooting experience with video walls, control systems, and DSPs.

  • Control Systems: Competency with Crestron and QSC systems.

  • Unified Communications (UC): Experience with video conferencing platforms including Zoom Rooms and Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTRs).

  • Blueprints: Ability to read and interpret functional design drawings, cable riser diagrams, and architectural schematics.

  • Brand Familiarity: Hands-on experience with Logitech, Shure, QSC, and Dante Audio platforms.
