Job Description:

This multi-role position combines hands-on Windows systems administration, real-time network troubleshooting during live multi-platform test events and exercises, and Information System Security Engineering (ISSE) support. Operating across a blended IT and cybersecurity scope, the candidate will assist with Risk Management Framework (RMF) artifacts and Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages, with structured runway to expand into dedicated ISSE duties as the project matures.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain Windows desktop systems, workstations, and a small server footprint; perform drive imaging, system restorations, and software upgrades.
• Conduct in-depth network troubleshooting, route tracing, and real-time failure isolation on critical path devices during live testing events and exercises.
• Harden servers, desktops, and laptop systems to DISA standards; apply, validate, and document all applicable STIGs.
• Execute ACAS scans, analyze vulnerabilities, remediate findings, and apply Information Assurance (IA) updates.
• Assist the project ISSE in developing RMF artifacts, navigating eMASS, and preparing documentation for ATO and ATC submissions.
• Utilize scripting languages to automate operational tasks; author standard operating procedures covering sysadmin workflows, backup routines, and multi-network troubleshooting.

Position Qualifications

• 3+ years of dedicated Windows desktop and server administration experience.
• 3+ years of practical experience with RMF, eMASS, and ATO/ATC processes.
• 2+ years of hands-on networking and routing troubleshooting experience.
• Active Secret security clearance (must be able to work 100% onsite in a classified lab environment).
• Active DoD IAT Level II certification required on day one (Security+ CE, GSEC, SCNP, or SSCP).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience deploying and configuring Linux-based ACAS scanners.
• Familiarity with network storage architectures, including Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Storage Area Network (SAN) configurations.
